4k HDR: High Resolution for More Detail, Higher Contrast and Expanded Colour Gamut
HDR or High Dynamic Range is the standard for 4K Ultra HD content. This allows the TCL 55P715 Smart TV to work with higher contrast and a wider colour range. As a result, it delivers a picture full of detail in both dark and light scenes.
Micro Dimming: Precise Contrast and Brightness Control Across the TCL P715's Entire Screen
Micro Dimming analyses content and divides it into 1296 individual zones, before intelligently adjusting brightness and contrast. This gives better depth, dynamics and emphasises details for a far more immersive viewing experience—especially in the dark.
SMART HDR Upscales Older Formats to Another Level
SMART HDR uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to dynamically analyse content and adjust each scene individually for a better level of detail. On the TCL 55P715 Smart TV, details in dark scenes stand out thanks to enhanced rendering. In bright scenes, the details of objects on light and bright backgrounds will not be lost. SMART HDR also allows you to elevate the quality of 'ordinary' SDR content by converting it to HDR capabilities using more precise brightness and contrast handling and an expanded colour palette.
Android TV: A Popular Smart TV Platform With a Huge Variety of Entertainment Options
The TCL 55P715 comes with Android TV that offers a huge range of apps, games and content that you can easily download from the Google Play Store. TCL 55P715 Android TV: Voice Control for Hands-Free TV

Children can search for fairy tales and cartoons without having to know the alphabet on a virtual keyboard. Just say, for example, "Jamie and His Magic Torch YouTube" and they can be enjoying their favourite show in no time at all. You can ask about the weather - "What will the weather be like tomorrow in Manchester?" Rain again probably. "OK, Google" also works, so as you can see, you can control your content totally hands-free.

Panel refresh rate is a critical parameter that affects the quality and smoothness of the image displayed on the TV screen. The frequency is expressed in Hertz (Hz) and indicates how many times per second the screen image is refreshed. Higher refresh rates, such as 120 Hz, provide a blur-free and jerk-free picture, which is ideal for watching fast-paced sporting events or playing action video games. A refresh rate of 140 Hz or higher can only be achieved in game mode by connecting an external graphics adapter (connecting to a PC with a GPU or to a console).
