Mini RGB evo for Accurate and Vibrant Colours
The LG 86MRGB88B6B uses 4K Mini RGB technology, which is designed for more accurate colour reproduction and a more impressive visual experience on the big screen. Tandem LED technology stacks several RGB colour layers to help achieve more vibrant colour reproduction. With RGB Primary Colour Pro, the TV has dual 100% colour volume certification for DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB standards, so you'll appreciate the rich shades when watching films, series, sports, and photos. ¹
Higher Contrast with Precision Dimming
Precision Dimming technology helps to control the backlighting more precisely and improve contrast in individual scenes. The Alpha 8 AI 4K Gen3 processor intelligently works with light, dimming blocks, brightness, and detail to make the picture more impressive and natural. The LG 86MRGB88B6B Smart TV can thus better render dark and light parts of the image and enhance the cinematic experience on the large 86" screen. ²
Alpha 8 AI 4K Gen3 Processor
The Alpha 8 AI 4K Gen3 processor handles image and sound processing. It uses artificial intelligence for a sharper 4K picture, more vibrant colours, and better content customisation to your preferences. Compared to the previous generation, it offers up to 5× faster NPU performance, so it has enough power for advanced AI functions, picture optimisation, and a personalised smart environment. ³
AI Picture with Upscaling to 4K
AI Super Upscaling helps to enhance the picture to 4K quality, while Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro adjusts brightness and detail in individual scenes. AI Picture Pro recognises content and supports its sharper and more natural rendering. There's also AI HDR Remastering, which can optimise the colour, brightness, and contrast of SDR content to give it a richer feel. ⁴
Cinematic Picture with Dolby Vision and FILMMAKER MODE
The LG 86MRGB88B6B TV supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, so you can enjoy content with more pronounced contrast, colour depth, and better detail. FILMMAKER MODE helps to keep the cinematic picture as close as possible to the creators' original intent and can adapt to the surrounding environment for more comfortable viewing. ¹⁶
Surround Sound with AI Sound Pro
The built-in 20W 2.0-channel sound is complemented by Dolby Atmos and AI Sound Pro technology. The TV can adjust the sound according to the content type, enhance voices, music, and sound effects, and create a virtual 11.1.2 surround effect. This makes watching films, sports, and concerts much more intense, and the sound fills the room better. ⁵ There's also AI Object Remastering Pro, which helps to enhance voices and key sound elements in a scene.

The LG 86MRGB88B6B Smart TV can display important information in one place. On the personalised dashboard, you can check the weather, sports event notifications, Google Calendar, viewing reservations, or information from the Home Hub. The TV is not just for watching content, but also serves as a practical centre for home information. ⁸ ¹²
Home Hub for Your Smart Home
The Home Hub connects smart devices in your home and allows you to control them conveniently right on the TV screen. The LG 86MRGB88B6B supports connection with LG ThinQ, Google Home, and Matter standard devices, so you can manage compatible smart products from one place, monitor their status, and control them with ease. ¹² The TV supports both Google Cast and Apple AirPlay, so you can easily share content from your phone, tablet, or laptop to the large 86" screen. LG Channels for More Entertainment
LG Channels brings a variety of content from live broadcasts and on-demand offerings into one clear hub. This makes it easier to discover new shows, films, and other content directly within the webOS environment without complicated searching. ¹⁴
Gaming Equipment for Smooth Gameplay
The LG 86MRGB88B6B is also ready for gaming. It offers a native 120Hz panel, VRR up to 144Hz, AMD FreeSync Premium, ALLM, HGiG, and Game Dashboard for quick access to gaming settings. Bluetooth with Ultra-Low Latency
The LG 86MRGB88B6B also considers cloud gaming with wireless controllers. The TV supports Bluetooth controllers with ultra-low latency, which help to reduce input lag to less than 2.5ms. This allows you to enjoy smoother and more responsive control that more closely resembles a wired connection. ¹⁷
LG Gaming Portal
The LG Gaming Portal serves as a practical hub for discovering games. It provides access to gaming apps, cloud services, and games controllable with the remote or a gamepad. Gamers can easily find new content and quickly access their favourite titles directly from the TV's interface. ¹⁴
WOW Orchestra for Connecting with an LG Soundbar
When connected to a compatible LG soundbar, you can use WOW Orchestra technology. It synchronises the TV and soundbar's audio into a single unit to create a fuller and more immersive sound experience. The feature is particularly useful for films, concerts, and sports broadcasts, where you'll appreciate a wider and more pronounced soundstage. ¹⁵
¹ The LG Mini RGB display is Intertek certified for dual 100% colour coverage as measured by IDMS v1.2, section 5.18. Mini RGB evo achieves more than 75% of the BT.2020 colour gamut by area ratio. Unlike Micro RGB TVs, Mini RGB TVs do not contain R chip LEDs and their chips do not operate independently.
