The APC Back-UPS PRO BR-1200VA UPS battery backup features the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is classified as the simplest form in case of a black-out, since it switches to the internal battery for electric power. The line interactive UPS also adds voltage regulation to prevent damage from electrical surges from the grid.
