The APC Smart-UPS X 2200VA is a line-interactive UPS designed for powering servers, storage, and network devices. With a high real power output of 1980W and an apparent power of 2200VA, it delivers sufficient capacity to protect your IT infrastructure. The Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) technology actively stabilises network fluctuations without switching to the battery, thereby extending its lifespan. Its convertible design, for both rack mounting and as a standalone tower, supports flexible installation in various environments. At full load, the backup source for servers powers the connected load for 9 minutes and 45 seconds, and at half load, for 25 minutes and 17 seconds. An intuitive LCD display is used for monitoring and management.
The UPS operates with a line-interactive topology, which uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to compensate for under-voltage and over-voltage without activating the battery. This protects sensitive electronics and at the same time preserves battery capacity for a complete power outage. The real power output of 1980W is complemented by an apparent power of 2200VA. The backup time is up to 25 minutes and 17 seconds, which provides plenty of time to save work and perform a controlled shutdown of systems. At a full load of 1980W, the backup time is 9 minutes and 45 seconds.
The power source is a lead-acid, hot-swappable battery that fully recharges in 3 hours. Integrated deep discharge protection extends its overall lifespan. To protect connected devices from damage, it includes surge protection with an absorption capacity of 645J and filtering for electromagnetic and radio frequency interference. The cold start function activates the UPS even without mains power, which is practical for restoring operation after a long power cut.
Remote management and monitoring are handled by a pre-installed Network Management Card. This, along with PowerChute Network Shutdown software, coordinates automated and safe server shutdowns. A multi-function LCD display is used for local configuration and status overview. The unit can be integrated into the EcoStruxure IT infrastructure management platform. The versatile design of the UPS supports installation in a 4U position in a standard 19" rack or as a standalone tower. The unit's dimensions are 432 × 178 × 483mm, and it weighs 38.56kg.
For remote management, it is equipped with a pre-installed network card with an Ethernet port. It also offers a serial RS-232 port and a USB port for local communication. For load connection, it provides ten output sockets, eight of which are IEC C13 and two are IEC C19. Three independently controlled groups of sockets enable detailed power management of connected devices. Input connection is provided by an IEC 320 C20 connector (includes BS1363A, IEC 320 C20, and Schuko CEE 7/EU1-16P power cables).
