The APC Smart-UPS X 3000VA backup power supply, with a power rating of 3000VA (2700W), uses line-interactive topology to protect servers, storage, and network devices. It provides a pure sine wave output, which is essential for powering sensitive electronics with active power factor correction (PFC) circuits. With high efficiency of up to 98.5% in online mode, it reduces running costs and heat generation. The backup time is 6 minutes and 15 seconds at full load and 18 minutes and 13 seconds at half load. The APC backup power supply provides reliable protection for your IT equipment and critical applications. Thanks to the pre-installed Network Management Card 3, it also supports full remote management and monitoring, simplifying power supervision in enterprise environments.
The line-interactive topology with automatic voltage regulation (AVR) corrects undervoltages and overvoltages without switching to battery, thereby extending its life. The UPS 3000VA achieves an apparent power of 3000VA and a real power of 2700W. High operating efficiency of up to 98.5% at full load and 97.2% at half load reduces energy losses and heat radiation, contributing to lower running costs. The pure sine wave output on battery is fully compatible with modern servers and sensitive electronics.
At the heart of the device is a lead-acid, user-hot-swappable battery that fully recharges in just 3 hours. This design supports the continuous operation of connected systems, even during maintenance. Integrated protection safeguards connected devices from damage. A surge protector with an energy rating of 645J absorbs voltage spikes, while constant noise filtering removes electromagnetic and radio frequency interference. Data line protection via the RJ-45 port prevents network components from being damaged by surges on the data line.
For remote management, the network UPS is equipped with a pre-installed Network Management Card 3. Together with the PowerChute Network Shutdown software, this coordinates the safe and automated shutdown of physical servers and virtual machines in the event of a prolonged power outage. The intuitive LCD display facilitates local configuration and status monitoring. USB and serial RS-232 ports are also available for direct connection to a computer or server. The emergency power off (EPO) connector supports immediate shutdown of the unit in case of an emergency.
Input connection is provided by IEC 320 C20, BS1363A, and Schuko connectors. Power is supplied to devices via eight IEC C13 sockets and two IEC C19 sockets. Three switchable groups of output sockets allow for detailed power management, such as sequential start-up of equipment, disconnecting less critical loads to extend backup time, or remotely rebooting frozen devices.
