Aroha Magnesium Threonate & Taurate combines two powerful forms of magnesium to support the brain, nervous system and overall vitality. Thanks to magnesium threonate (Magtein), magnesium effectively reaches the brain, where it improves cognitive function and memory. In addition, magnesium taurate contributes to heart health and proper blood pressure. The supplement is great for improving sleep - it helps to achieve deeper and better quality sleep, which contributes to better recovery and reduced fatigue.

Most people do not get enough magnesium from food. In Western countries, approximately 65% of adults have a sub-optimal magnesium intake. This proportion is even higher in the elderly, as more than 80% of people over the age of 70 do not take sufficient amounts [1, 2]. The most common symptoms of magnesium deficiency are muscle cramps, poor quality sleep, mental imbalance, irregular heartbeat and weakness in muscles or bones. Threonate penetrates the human brain and nervous system, where it can positively influence cognitive function. Magnesium is essential for hundreds of important biochemical processes, including energy metabolism inside cells. The natural level of magnesium in the human body helps to reduce fatigue and exhaustion. The adult body contains approximately 25 g of magnesium, 50-60% of which is present in the bones and most of the rest in the soft tissues [10]. The natural level of magnesium in the body is largely controlled by the kidneys, which normally excrete about 120 mg of magnesium a day in the urine. This is one of the main reasons why we should supplement magnesium every day, either naturally from food or through supplements [11].
