Expansion slots and storage
The board supports PCIe 5.0 for graphics cards, which has double the data transfer speed of PCIe 4.0, improved signal integrity and is backwards compatible with previous PCIe versions. The PCIe 5.0 x16 slot is equipped with a SafeSlot bracket to support graphics cards and can be easily released with the PCIe Slot Q-Release Slim. It includes three integrated M.2 slots with PCIe 5.0 x4 support and two M.2 slots with PCIe 4.0 x4 support. The board is equipped with massive M.2 heatsinks with a combined heatsink and M.2 backplate to maintain optimal operating temperatures even under heavy loads.
AI features and overclocking
ASUS AI Advisor uses artificial intelligence technology to understand natural language questions or scenario descriptions, enabling users to discover the features and functions of ASUS motherboards. Dynamic OC Switcher lets you set current and temperature thresholds to automatically switch between manual overclocking for multi-threaded tasks and Precision Boost Overdrive for single-threaded tasks, with an enhanced Overclocking Load Guard instant current protection mechanism. Core Flex provides control over clocks, power, and thermals, and supports several user-driven features that can independently adjust power, current, and temperature limits. The board features an integrated Asynchronous Clock generator that decouples the CPU base clock from the memory, PCIe, and Infinity Fabric speed.
Cooling and network connectivity
AI Cooling II balances the thermal and acoustic properties of any PC build, and AI Networking II combines intelligent technologies that continuously optimise network performance and unlock the speed of WiFi 7. The board includes VRM heatsinks with an integrated I/O cover and highly conductive thermal pads connected by an L-shaped heat pipe, CPU fan headers, a pump fan header and 4-pin chassis fan headers. Connectivity includes WiFi 7 with 320MHz bandwidth support in the 6GHz band, 4096 QAM, and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) for a stable connection in the 2.4, 5, and 6GHz bands with the ASUS WiFi Q-Antenna and Realtek 5Gb Ethernet. The board features a USB 20Gbps Type-C connector on the rear I/O panel with PD 3.0 up to 30W and USB Wattage Watcher, and ten other USB 10Gbps ports.
Personalisation
The PCIe Slot Q-Release Slim lets users remove a graphics card by tilting the card in the slot instead of pressing a retention clip. The Q-Code diagnostic display shows two-digit diagnostic codes for troubleshooting, and the Q-LED helps with any potential problems. The BIOS FlashBack button enables BIOS updates from a FAT32 USB drive without needing a processor or memory, and the Clear CMOS button restores default settings. The board includes three addressable Gen 2 RGB headers for customisable lighting with ASUS Aura Sync technology for synchronisation with compatible hardware. Armoury Crate software lets you customise RGB lighting and control ASUS devices, including ASUS Fan Xpert 4 software for comprehensive control over fans and all-in-one water coolers. ASUS GlideX enables screen sharing, screen control and cross-device operation via USB or WiFi.

When choosing a motherboard, it's important to pay close attention to the socket type, form factor, and chipset. These are the most crucial parameters, ensuring the board is compatible with the processor, expansion cards, and other components. The specific socket determines your choice of processor, while the other connectors will dictate which components you need for your future PC.
Socket is on the motherboard and is used for fitting of the processing unit (CPU). Processors from individual producers and different generations are not compatible with each other.
Designation of a specific type of chipset. This determines the properties of the motherboard - support for the processor, memory; provides communication of the device with the bus.
The format of the board indicates its standardized size. Small board (m-ATX) is suitable for example for building a HTPC, larger board (ATX) offers better connectivity (more connectors, slots,...
Overview of functions and features that the motherboard is equipped with. The absence of some elements may be additionally addressed by purchasing them (eg. the controller).
Bluetooth, For CPU with integrated GPU, Integrated network card, Integrated sound card, PCI Express 5.0, Wi-Fi
Memory type determines which generation of memory motherboard uses. Generally speaking, the newer generation, the greater the performance. The various memory types (eg. DDR3 and DDR4) are not...

Slots for main memory allow you to fit more memory modules for more capacity. Maximum memory capacity is limited only by the number of slots, but also support from the motherboard.
Designation of a specific type of sound card. Individual types can have specific properties, eg. processing multi-channel audio or digital optical output.
External connectors are designed to connect to various peripherals, such as monitors, keyboards, mice, external drives, printers, microphones, headphones and many others.
HDMI 2.1, Jack, RJ-45 (LAN) 5Gbps, S/PDIF, USB 3.2 Gen 1, USB 4, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2
Connectors for direct connection of components. This includes eg. The SATA interface for hard drives, advanced M.2 for SSD and USB ports for connecting external "Bracket".

Zdravím, mám otázku ohledně M.2 (PCle 5.0 4x NVMe)
Přesněji jde o produkt: ADATA XPG MARS 980 BLADE 4TB
Kolik jich může být zapojeno aby to neovlivnilo data linky z grafického slotu?
Navíc planuju mít aspoň jedno SSD přes Sata, jestli to bude taky hrát nějakou roli. Děkuji za odpověď.
