It contains a high proportion of corrosion inhibitors and creates a reliable base for subsequent surface treatments. The primer is suitable for use in automotive, industrial and marine environments, where it provides long-term protection.

Effective protection against corrosion
This primer is the solution for metal surfaces that are heavily affected by corrosion and cannot be treated with sandblasting. Its formula, with a high content of corrosion inhibitors, penetrates deep into the rust structure, where it actively halts its further progression. The wax and oil-based product bonds firmly to the metal, ensuring adhesion and forming the basis for long-term material protection even in demanding conditions.
A reliable base for the final finish
After application, Mercasol 9 creates a thin, slightly tacky film. The non-drying surface serves as a base for the adhesion of subsequent layers, such as stone chip protection. To make it easier to check for an even application, the primer contains a faint red pigmentation. This helps you visually gauge the correct layer thickness and prevent oversaturation or running, which is crucial for the proper function of the entire coating system.
Easy application and wide use
Before use, ensure the surfaces to be treated are dry and free of dirt, salt or oil. Apply the product itself using suitable spray equipment in thin, even layers. The work should be carried out indoors at temperatures between +15°C and +25°C. After application, let the primer cure for 15–20 minutes before applying further protective layers. The primer can be used on vehicle undercarriages, in industry and in marine environments.
