Brake shoes are not missing in any car with drum brakes, they are in charge of reliable braking. They are inserted directly into the drum brake, which they press whenever the car brakes. Assembly of the jaws is easy, you can handle it yourself. Use a jack to lift the car and then lock it against movement. You take off the wheel and uncover the brake system, then just replace the shoe.
