All cars with drum brakes have brake shoes, which perform the function of reliable braking. They store it directly in the drum brake, and if it pushes on it, it starts to brake. Assembly of the jaws is easy, you can handle it yourself. If you lift the car with a jack and then lock it against movement, you are half done. Then just remove the wheels and replace the shoe in the brake system.
