In cars with drum brakes, there are also brake shoes, which ensure reliable braking. They are integrated into the drum brake, which brakes due to compression. You can also install the shoes in the drum brakes yourself. Use the jack to lift the car and then lock it against movement. You take off the wheel and uncover the brake system, then just replace the shoe.
