Cars with drum brakes also include brake shoes, which provide reliable braking. They are inserted directly into the drum brake, each time you brake, it presses on it and thus slows down. You can handle the installation of the shoes in the drum brakes yourself. After lifting the car with a jack, you lock it against movement. Remove the wheel and replace the shoe in the brake system.
