Cars with drum brakes include brake shoes, their function includes reliable braking. They are stored directly in the drum brake, the pressure on it brakes the car. You can also install the shoes in the drum brakes yourself. Just lift the car and block it against possible movement. With the wheel removed, replace the shoe in the brake system.
