Brake shoes are not missing in any car with drum brakes, where they perform an irreplaceable function. They are directly part of the drum brake, which presses on it when the car brakes. You can handle the installation of the shoes in the drum brakes yourself. If you lift the car with a jack and then lock it against movement, you are half done. Then you just take off the wheel and replace the shoe in the brake system.
An indispensable part of the drum brake system
