Cars with drum brakes have brake shoes, they are used for reliable braking. They are directly part of the drum brake, which presses on it when the car brakes. You can mount the jaws yourself. All they have to do is lift the car with a jack and then block it against movement. After removing the wheel, replace the shoe in the brake system.
