The BlackView XPLORE 2 Satellite mobile phone is an exceptionally rugged 5G smartphone designed for expeditions, fieldwork and travel in areas without a standard mobile signal. Thanks to two-way Skylo satellite communication, it lets you send and receive voice, text and location messages. Its features are complemented by a 6.73" 3.2K AMOLED display, a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, 16GB of RAM, 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, a 20000mAh battery, 120W charging, a trio of cameras, a camp light with a luminous flux of 467lm, and IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H resistance.
The most important advantage of the BlackView XPLORE 2 Satellite is its two-way communication via geostationary satellites and the Skylo service. From places without a mobile or Wi-Fi signal, you can send voice messages, text and your location data, and receive replies. The recipient does not need to use the same phone or install a special app.
The phone offers a wide 120° satellite search angle, a Star Finder function for easier locating of a suitable direction, and an SOS emergency mode with current location sharing. The satellite service is available in selected countries, and its price and specific options may vary depending on the region and Skylo's terms.
The five-layer ArmorShield construction combines Gorilla Glass 5, metal reinforcements, reinforced corners and a shock-absorbing back cover. IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certifications confirm its enhanced resistance to water, dust, high-pressure water jets, impacts and temperature changes.
Under laboratory conditions, the phone was tested for drops from up to 6 metres, loads of up to 500kg and temperatures from −20 to 60°C. The construction also withstood submersion to a depth of 2 metres for up to 30 minutes. The AI Rainproof Touch mode helps maintain control of a wet display, and the water expulsion function uses speaker vibrations to remove moisture and debris.
The main 6.73" LTPO AMOLED display offers a resolution of 1440 × 3200 pixels, a pixel density of 521 PPI, and an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz. It can display games and motion smoothly, but lowers the frequency for static content to save power. The maximum brightness reaches up to 2600 nits, and it also supports HDR, the DCI-P3 colour space and an Always-On Display function.
More comfortable viewing is ensured by 1920Hz high-frequency dimming, TÜV SÜD Low Blue Light certification, and reading, night light, dim brightness and dark modes.
The system runs smoothly thanks to the 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor with a frequency of up to 3.35GHz and support for 5G mobile networks. It is complemented by 16GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM, which can be virtually expanded by another 32GB to a total of 48GB. The phone handles navigation, multitasking, demanding applications, photo editing and gaming.
A generous 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage is available for files and applications, providing fast app loading and plenty of space for photos, videos, map data and more. The capacity can be further expanded with a memory card by up to 2TB. A three-element cooling system using graphite, copper and thermally conductive silicone helps to dissipate heat during prolonged use.
The main 50Mpx Samsung GN9 camera uses a large 1/1.57" sensor, optical image stabilisation (OIS) and electronic image stabilisation (EIS). The Ultra HDR function helps preserve details in both bright and dark parts of the scene, while motion tracking makes it easier to photograph dynamic objects. You can record video in up to 4K at 60 frames per second with HDR10+.
A separate 20Mpx Sony IMX376 night vision camera captures black and white shots in very low light and complete darkness. It is useful for checking the surroundings of a campsite, documenting the terrain or working at night. The front 50Mpx Samsung ISOCELL JN1 camera is ready for detailed selfies and video calls.
The high-capacity 20000mAh battery reduces the need for regular charging when you're off-grid. Support for 120W fast charging lets you recharge significantly faster than with standard rugged phones. With 10W reverse charging, the BlackView XPLORE 2 Satellite can power a phone, smartwatch, headphones, or other USB-connected device.
Intelligent power-saving features adjust consumption based on the current load, and the charging protection system helps limit overheating and battery wear.
The integrated dual camping light provides a luminous flux of up to 467 lumens. It offers three brightness levels, a warning flash, and an SOS mode, so it's useful when setting up camp, during a power cut, or in an emergency. A pair of 2W Smart-K Box speakers create stereo sound when watching videos, gaming, or listening to music.
The infrared transmitter lets you use the phone as a remote control for compatible TVs, air conditioners, projectors, and other electronics. The programmable side button can be assigned to a frequently used function, such as turning on the light, camera, SOS, or another app.
The DokeOS 4.2 operating system, based on Android 15, is complemented by Doke AI tools using DeepSeek, ChatGPT, and Gemini models. The Hi Doki app helps with searching, document analysis, and text creation, ImageX offers AI photo editing, and other tools let you create videos or music. Selected Doke AI features may be subject to a fee after the trial period ends.
Features include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, eSIM, Dual 5G, and GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou navigation with L1 + L5 bands. A gyroscope, compass, and air pressure sensor support more precise orientation. You can unlock the phone with your fingerprint or facial recognition.
