Sound Recording and Capsules
The Logitech G Blue Yeti microphone uses three proprietary 14mm condenser capsules designed for flexible recording of voice and ambient sound. The multi-capsule design allows you to switch between different recording modes depending on your current needs. The frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz covers the entire audible spectrum. 48kHz/16-bit sampling provides digital recording for streaming, calls and content creation. A maximum SPL of 120dB allows for the recording of louder sound sources.
Directional Modes and Use
Cardioid, Bidirectional, Omnidirectional and Stereo modes are available. Cardioid mode is suitable for solo voice recording when streaming or gaming. Bidirectional mode can be used for interviews with two people facing each other. Omnidirectional mode captures the space around the microphone, and stereo mode supports more spatial recording. The body of the microphone features gain control, instant Mute, and monitoring control. The versatility of the modes extends the microphone's use in both home and work environments.
Monitoring and Controls
The Blue Yeti model is equipped with a headphone output for direct audio monitoring during use. The integrated headphone amplifier works with an impedance of 16 Ohm and an output of 130mW RMS. The frequency range of the headphone output is 15Hz to 22kHz. The signal-to-noise ratio is 100dB. Logitech G HUB software provides access to Blue VO!CE effects, EQ, a limiter, and noise reduction tools.
Construction and Package Contents
The internal shock mount reduces the transmission of vibrations to the microphone capsule during use. A desktop stand is included in the package for immediate use right out of the box. The dimensions of the microphone in the stand are 12×12.5×29.5cm. The weight of the microphone is 0.88kg and the stand is 0.5kg. The package contains the microphone, a desktop stand, a USB cable and user documentation.

Microphone Principle
Dynamic microphones are suitable for open performances, live broadcasts, music production, etc. They use a magnet and a moving coil to capture sound.
Condenser microphones are mainly used for studio purposes. They have higher sensitivity and lower noise. They must be powered separately.
Frequency Range
The frequency range indicates the range of frequency values that the microphone records. The wider the range, the more sounds it can capture.
Low frequencies (e.g., 20–200Hz): Bass, the deepest tones of instruments (double bass, kick drum) and male voices.
Mid frequencies (e.g., 200–3,000Hz): The body of instruments, the core of the voice where the ear is most sensitive, important for speech intelligibility.
High frequencies (e.g., 3,000–14,000Hz): Treble, details, sibilance and the "shine" of the sound.
Air band (above 14,000Hz): Gives recordings a feeling of expensive, super-high-quality sound and space.
Sensitivity
Microphone sensitivity is the ratio of output voltage to acoustic pressure. It expresses how loud a signal the microphone produces at a given acoustic pressure; higher sensitivity means a stronger voltage and is suitable for quiet studios, while lower sensitivity is better for noisy environments as it reduces the unnecessary amplification of ambient noise.
