BrainMax BIO-Enhanced® Na-RALA is the most absorbable form of lipoic acid on the market. 250 mg of highly effective lipoic acid with min. 85% free R-lipoic acid content in one capsule, to which we also added 300% DDD biotin. The main function of lipoic acid is to convert blood sugar glucose into energy and protect cells from oxidative stress. These two ingredients complement each other and support increased energy production, protection of the nervous system, normal mental activity and healthy hair, nails and skin.
Bio-Enhanced® Na-RALA
GeroNova Bio-Enhanced® R-Lipoic Acid is a stabilized form of R-Lipoic Acid (RLA) designed for maximum bioavailability. The patented manufacturing process converts the biologically active "R" form of lipoic acid into a sodium form (Na-RALA), allowing for 10 to 30 times higher peak blood levels and up to 40 times faster absorption compared to pure, unstabilized RLA. Na-RALA is soluble in both water and fat, ensuring more efficient use.

Lipoic acid: Key antioxidant and differences between RALA and LALA
- What is lipoic acid? It is an organic compound that occurs naturally in the human body and is essential for energy metabolism. It works as a coenzyme in the mitochondria, where it helps convert nutrients into energy. It is itself a powerful antioxidant, and one of the unique properties of lipoic acid is its ability to regenerate other antioxidants such as vitamins C and E, which increases their effectiveness. - Why is RALA better than LALA? Both names refer to different forms of lipoic acid.
