The BRANDT BPI384HUB induction hob features a total of four cooking zones, two of which can be combined into one. This includes the versatile horiZone area (40×23cm) with up to 3750W of power, a separate central cooking zone (28cm) with 3750W, and a right-hand 16cm zone (2500W). The hob measures 77×51×6cm (W×D×H) and has a durable black glass surface. It can be installed either as a standard fit or flush-mounted into the worktop. Control is handled by the Intellect Smart touch panel, offering up to ten power levels and a range of practical functions like a timer (1–99 mins), Ultra Boost, and Clean Lock. Versatile horiZone cooking area on the BRANDT BPI384HUB hob
The BRANDT BPI384HUB induction hob provides four cooking zones. The left side features the special horiZone universal cooking zone, which you can use as a single large 40×23cm surface – ideal for electric grills, for example – or split it into two separate zones. The horiZone area is equipped with six induction coils with ferrite elements, ensuring even heat distribution across the entire surface.
Induction hob with ten safety features
The BRANDT BPI384HUB hob offers a high level of safety. Its 10 safety features include:
- Temperature limiter – technology that prevents the temperature from exceeding 300°C
- Overfill protection – automatically deactivates the cooking zone if liquid comes into contact with the control panel
- Control panel lock – prevents accidental activation
- Residual heat indicator – alerts you when a cooking zone is still hot
- Automatic safety shut-off during inactivity
- Pan detection – automatically switches off if no suitable pan is present
- Small object detection – only reacts to pans with a diameter over 10cm
- Undervoltage detection
- Overvoltage detection – protects the electronics, for example, during a thunderstorm
- Incorrect connection detection with an acoustic warning
Ultra Boost function for rapid heating of the cooking zones
With Ultra Boost technology, the hob achieves a short-term power increase from 2800W up to 3600W. Induction heating is up to 37% faster than conventional hobs. The BRANDT BPI384HUB induction hob brings 2 litres of water to the boil in approximately 4.5 minutes.
Boil function for precisely cooking pasta and rice
The Boil function enables precise cooking of side dishes like pasta or rice on the induction hob in a few simple steps:
- Press the Boil button to bring the water to a rapid boil.
- An audible signal indicates when it's 'ready' to add your food.
- After adding the food and pressing the Boil button again, the power automatically reduces to maintain a gentle simmer (the time can be adjusted).
- An acoustic signal sounds at the end of the cooking time.
Recall function – restore the last settings for each cooking zone
Cooking can be briefly interrupted, for example, due to a power cut or accidentally switching off the hob or a specific zone. The Recall function lets you restore the last saved settings before it was switched off, using the corresponding symbol on the control panel.
Hob with residual heat indicator
Each cooking zone has its own indicator assigned on the control panel at the bottom of the hob. A large symbol with the letter 'H' signals that the surface of that zone has a temperature higher than 50°C. The indicator remains active until the temperature drops below this value.
Tempo function to check elapsed time
Another useful feature of the BRANDT BPI384HUB induction hob is the Tempo function, which displays the time elapsed since the last setting change. You'll appreciate this function especially in situations where a timer is not used and you need to keep track of the cooking time.
Clean Lock function for safe hob cleaning
When cleaning the hob, the controls can be accidentally activated. The Clean Lock function lets you temporarily lock the BRANDT BPI384HUB hob, ensuring safe and convenient cleaning. The hob automatically unlocks one minute after the function is activated.
