Why measure temperature with the Braun ThermoScan ear thermometer?
The Braun ThermoScan ear thermometer measures the heat in the close vicinity of the eardrum. The eardrum shares the blood supply with the temperature control centre in the brain, and thus reflects changes in body temperature most accurately.
Sound alarm
An audible signal helps to interpret the temperature reading. The number of beeps indicates normal (1 beep), elevated (2 beeps) temperature and fever (4 beeps).
Measuring speed
Speed of measurement is important, especially when measuring temperature in children. The Braun ThermoScan 3 infrared ear thermometer measures temperature in 1 second.
Memory
When the Braun IRT3030 infrared thermometer is switched on, the display shows the last measured value.

The Braun IRT3030 ThermoScan 3 infrared ear thermometer provides fast and accurate body temperature measurements in 1 second. Measures infrared heat in the ear canal with clinically proven accuracy. An audible signal helps in the interpretation of the measured temperature: normal (1 beep), fever (2 beeps) and fever (4 beeps). The thermometer has an easy-to-read LCD display and is suitable for measuring temperature even in newborns. Memory with the last measured temperature. Automatic shut-off after 60 seconds ensures longer battery life. It measures temperature in degrees Celsius (34 - 42.2°C) and Fahrenheit (93.2 - 108°F). Disposable caps provide hygienic cleanliness, protection from cross-contamination and measurement accuracy. The caps are BPA and latex free.
