Cult Caffe Creme Whole Bean Coffee

1kg

Café Cult Caffe Crème Coffee is a balanced blend of whole bean coffee that offers a mild and full flavour. It is designed to create a delicious frothy coffee that is similar in taste to traditional filter coffee but prepared like a long espresso.

Caffe Creme

Mild Caffe Crème with a Full Body and Low Acidity

This balanced “Schümli” blend combines carefully selected coffee beans from Colombia, Brazil, and Africa. It is primarily intended for preparing Caffe Crème – a coffee speciality originating from Switzerland, which is a milder alternative to espresso. When prepared under high pressure, a characteristic creamy foam forms on the surface of the drink.

Preparation

Caffe Crème is a Swiss style of preparation, characterised by a long espresso (120–240ml) with a distinctive crema on the surface, prepared with a coarser grind than classic espresso. The key to making great coffee is the right combination of grind coarseness, water temperature, and coffee ratio. Each preparation method requires a different approach to avoid under-extraction (coffee is weak and acidic) or over-extraction (coffee is bitter and astringent). As a standard, use 1g of coffee per 15–17ml of water (a ratio of approx. 1:15 to 1:17). For one litre of coffee, this corresponds to roughly 60–70g of ground beans. The water should never be boiling. The ideal range is 92–96°C. If you do not have a thermometer, let the kettle stand for about 30–60 seconds after it has boiled. Grind the coffee just before preparation to preserve its aroma and flavour oils. The preparation of coffee differs mainly in the coarseness of the grind and the extraction methour
