The CATA IB 6324 E2 BK induction hob has 4 cooking zones, each equipped with a timer and a Booster function for an instant power increase. The zones have their own, completely independent touch controls with nine setting levels. The total power of the appliance is 7kW. The hob features three preset cooking programmes: melting or defrosting (approx. 45 to 50°C), warming or keeping food warm (approx. 65 to 70°C), and simmering/slow cooking (approx. 85 to 90°C). The hob also has an AUTO function for connecting the hob to a CATA cooker hood; once paired, the extraction level is automatically set according to the hob's total selected power. The Power Management function means you can set the maximum power input of the hob according to the circuit breaker value (5 settings from 1.5kW to 7.0kW, with the default setting being 7.0kW for a 2×16A circuit breaker). The CATA IB 6324 E2 BK hob benefits from an intelligent layout of cooking zones and their clear controls. The surface of the hob is made of durable glass, which is easy to clean.

The CATA IB 6324 E2 BK has four cooking zones of different diameters, laid out for the comfortable simultaneous use of multiple pots and pans. Each zone offers 9 power levels and a Booster function, which briefly increases the power, for example, to quickly bring water to a boil.

Automatic temperature programmes of the CATA hob
The CATA IB 6324 E2 BK hob offers 3 preset temperature programmes that make food preparation easier for tasks where maintaining a specific temperature is important. The hob continuously maintains it within the selected programme, so there is no need to constantly adjust the power manually.
- Melting / defrosting – 45 to 55°C – Suitable for gently melting butter or chocolate, and also for defrosting food.
- Warming / keeping warm – 65 to 70°C – Helps keep already prepared food warm without repeatedly setting the power.
- Slow cooking – 85 to 95°C – Maintains the temperature below a rolling boil and is suitable for slow food preparation.
Smart connection with a CATA cooker hood
The CATA IB 6324 E2 BK hob can communicate wirelessly with compatible CATA cooker hoods and automatically adapt their operation to the current cooking process. The extraction power changes according to the cooking zone settings, so you don't have to worry about regulating it while cooking. However, you can also control the cooker hood at any time directly from the hob's control panel.
Safe and convenient cooking
The practical functions of the CATA IB 6324 E2 BK keep both convenience and safety in mind for everyday use. Each cooking zone has its own timer, so you can individually monitor the preparation time of each dish. A separate countdown timer with an audible signal and a range of safety features are also available.
Power Management for flexible installation
The Power Management function lets you adapt the maximum power input of the CATA IB 6324 E2 BK to the capabilities of your electrical installation and the circuit breaker used. The hob then automatically works with the available power so that it does not exceed the set limit. You will appreciate this especially in households where it is not possible to use the full 7kW power input.
