Filters Celestron lenses are specifically designed to highlight the details of observed objects, such as planets and their rings. Their use is very versatile, as they are suitable for all standard 1.25" eyepieces. Just screw the filters onto the eyepiece and start observing. The set contains 4 colour filters, namely #21 orange (47%), #80A light blue (30%), #15 dark yellow (67%) and polarizing. Each has an anodised aluminium frame with a double-sided thread, so that the filters can be combined together. This ensures that a variety of effects can be achieved while increasing the contrast of the observed objects. Anti-reflective coatings eliminate unwanted glare. Filters This will allow Celestron to observe the details of the planets.
Kit contents:
1× #21 orange (47%):
It refines the boundaries along the Martian plains due to the reduction of blue-green transmissions. Use on Jupiter and Saturn to bring out details in the belts and polar regions.
1× #80A light blue (30%):It enhances the contrast between the cloud belts on Jupiter and the polar ice caps on Saturn. It can also be used to increase the contrast on the moon if you don't mind the colour shift.
1× #12 dark yellow (67%): Universal filter for telescopes with smaller apertures (less than 4.5"), it will improve the contrast of formations on the Moon. It can also help you see equatorial belts on Jupiter and Saturn, clouds and polar ice caps on Mars, and dark details on Uranus and Neptune.
1× polarizing filter:A great filter for the Moon and for stacking with other planetary filters to increase density without changing colour. The neutral density filter is also useful in splitting binary systems (double stars). Use it whenever you want to reduce brightness but don't want to affect the colour characteristics of the subject.
