The ChoiceMMed Oxywatch MD300C29 pulse oximeter is specially designed for non-invasive measurement of haemoglobin oxygen saturation in the arterial part of the bloodstream and simultaneous heart rate measurement. It uses two light beams of different wavelengths for measurement, which are directed onto the finger placed inside the device. Haemoglobin oxygen saturation indicates the percentage of haemoglobin in arterial blood that is saturated with oxygen. It is therefore an important parameter for assessing respiratory function. A low saturation value may indicate respiratory diseases, asthma or heart failure.
