CONDROSULF 400 is intended for the treatment of degenerative joint diseases, in particular: mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee (gonarthrosis) or hip (coxarthrosis), osteoarthritis of the finger joints of the hand. Condrosulf 400 is a specific non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic drug. The active substance of CONDROSULF is chondroitin sulphate, which is one of the main components of the intercellular cartilage mass and has a characteristic ability to bind water in the tissue. This ensures the mechanical and elastic properties of the cartilage. In joint degenerative processes, the content of chondroitin sulphate in cartilage is reduced by the action of specific enzymes (lytic enzymes) that lead to cartilage degeneration. As a consequence of the reduced ability to bind water, the cartilage gradually degenerates and the function of the joint deteriorates. Chondroitin sulfate inhibits the activity of enzymes that damage cartilage, promotes cartilage metabolism and improves the mechanical-elastic properties of cartilage. The administration of CONDROSULF ensures the restoration of the metabolic balance of the basic cellular components of cartilage (chondrocytes). What is osteoarthritis? Osteoarthritis is a disease that causes pain and functional limitation of the joints. A typical symptom of osteoarthritis of the knee is exertional pain that occurs when walking, and so-called. starting pain (morning and after prolonged rest stiffness associated with soreness). At rest, the difficulty diminishes. In osteoarthritis of the hip, pain may radiate down the outside of the thigh to the knee or to the sacral region of the back. The patient has difficulty bending down to tie his shoelaces, put on his socks, etc. Walking deteriorates, especially on stairs, the patient limps. The package contains 180 hard capsules.
Dosage and method of use
Adults take 2 capsules twice daily for 2 weeks (initial treatment) and then 2 capsules once daily for 2-3 months (maintenance treatment). After the end of the treatment, a three-month break is recommended and a possible repeat of the treatment. If there is no relief from pain and improvement in joint function after 2-3 months, consult your doctor for treatment. Condrosulf 400mg is not intended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Contraindications
Not intended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. The product is not recommended to be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not take CONDROSULF if you are allergic to the medicine or to any of the other ingredients in this medicine.

Storage
Store at temperatures up to 25 °C. Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date (EXP) stated on the packaging. Time expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
