How does Fenistil gel work?
Fenistil relieves itching by blocking the action of histamine. Histamine is a substance that is released in the body when it comes into contact with an allergen
and provokes the development of an allergic reaction. Because the gel penetrates easily into the skin, it quickly relieves itching and skin irritation
in a matter of minutes. Fenistil also has a local anaesthetic effect.

The application is easy
Just apply a thin layer on the affected areas of the skin 2-4 times a day. Do not press or scratch the skin when applying. The effect of the gel begins to manifest itself after a few minutes and reaches its maximum after 2-4 hours. In case of very severe itching or extensive lesions, the gel can be combined with oral antihistamines for better effect.
What Fenistil contains
The active substance is dimetindene maleate; one gram of gel contains 1 mg of dimetindene maleate. Excipients are benzalkonium chloride solution, disodium edetate dihydrate, Carbomer, sodium hydroxide solution 300 g/l, propylene glycol, purified water.
Contraindications
The product is not intended for children under 6 months. Do not use Fenistil if you are allergic to dimetindene maleate or any other ingredient in this medicine. Read the package insert carefully. Fenistil in pregnancy, when breastfeeding and fertility If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, before using this product. During pregnancy and lactation, the product should not be applied to large areas of skin, especially if there are open and inflamed wounds. Fenistil should not be applied to the breast nipples during breastfeeding.
