FiiO K19 black

FiiO K19 black
The innovative FiiO K19 is a 31-band, high-precision lossless headphone amplifier featuring DEL (Dual Engine Limiter) technology. Thanks to proprietary algorithms, it can apply various sound effects like dynamic range compression (DRC), dynamic range enhancement (DRE), and an advanced limiter that prevents clipping. The K19 is also equipped with an adjustable 31-band high-precision lossless PEQ*, which supports the direct adjustment of audio signals from PCM 44.1k to 192k without needing sample rate conversion (SRC). For each band, you can set the gain within a range of +12 to -24dB and adjust the Q value from 0.4dB to 128dB. You don't have to be the only one to use the PEQ curves – the PEQ presets in the K19 can be shared between users. The ability to import and export PEQ presets opens up a new dimension of sound customisation. The clock frequencies are precisely managed, ensuring low jitter in the processed digital signals, which results in a cleaner and clearer sound.

ADI ADSP-21565 with SHARC+ core
The FiiO K19 desktop DAC and headphone amplifier uses an ADI ADSP-21565 DSP chip with a SHARC+ core, which is complemented by its own femtosecond crystal oscillator with ultra-low phase noise. The DSP chip, with a high 800MHz clock speed and 64-bit double-precision floating-point calculation capability, enables the K19's 31-band high-precision lossless PEQ. The ADI DSP chip not only ensures that the audio signals are of high quality with minimal distortion after PEQ adjustment but also helps enable powerful system protection functions that safeguard both the K19 and other devices and headphones connected to it.
A flagship device
Inside the FiiO K19 headphone amplifier are two 8-channel ESS ES9039SPRO DAC chips, which feature the fourth-generation 32-bit HyperStream architecture and are capable of achieving an ultra-high dynamic range with ultra-low noise. The DAC chips enable the K19 to produce a cleaner, richer sound with an abundance of detail. The K19 features an 8-channel THX AAA 788+ headphone amplifier architecture, operating in parallel and powered by a high-voltage power supply. The individual THX chips are connected in parallel in 2×2 groups, creating a fully balanced four-channel amplification system. The result is improved transient response and a high output power of up to 8000mW + 8000mW into a 32Ω load, allowing the K19 to effortlessly power all types of headphones.
ACCUSILICON crystal oscillators
The FiiO K19 headphone amplifier uses two ACCUSILICON AS318-B femtosecond oscillators with ultra-low phase noise (45.1584MHz, 49.1520MHz), which are 100% pre-tested before being selected for use in the K19. The femtosecond crystal oscillators effectively reduce the impact of phase noise on audio signals and enable accurate sound restoration and various sampling rates – resulting in a cleaner and more stable sound, regardless of the source's sampling rate.
Fully balanced design
The K19 processes audio signals through a fully differential chain – from the dual DACs, through the I/V converter, low-pass filter, and finally the balanced headphone amplifier, to ensure high dynamics and minimal crosstalk. Various parts of the audio circuitry, such as the IV, LPF, and preamp, also use multiple precision operational amplifiers, including the OPA2211 and OPA1602, to ensure a stable, high-quality sound. The K19 arrives in style, crafted from a die-cast aluminium alloy unibody for a seamless design. The aluminium alloy body is meticulously polished by a multi-axis CNC machine to a quality worthy of a flagship. The aluminium alloy body is not only thinner but also shock-resistant. Paired with the included stand, the K19 is stable.
Digital processing architecture
The K19 uses a powerful quad-core FPGA as the hub for high-resolution digital signal processing. The FPGA is responsible for processing all incoming digital signals, including Bluetooth reception and decoding, USB decoding, coaxial and optical decoding, HDMI/ARC decoding, and DSP digital signal processing. The digital signals are directly transmitted via two sets of I2S channels to the dual ES9039SPRO DACs, ensuring minimal distortion and loss of audio signals in the digital audio processing chain.
HDMI/ARC decoding support
The FIIO desktop DAC and amplifier features HDMI IN and ARC capabilities. The K19 supports decoding from an HDMI input, HDMI output, and the HDMI ARC Audio Return Channel feature, opening the door to a new way of enjoying an immersive audiovisual experience. Decoding/output – HDMI supports sampling rates up to 192kHz/24bit, HDMI ARC supports sampling rates of 44.1/48kHz. The digital and analogue audio circuits of the K19 headphones are located on separate boards, ensuring full isolation and significantly reduced interference. The DSP board, DAC, and THX headphone amplifier board are fitted with metal shields, as the digital board and module board use a separate aluminium alloy construction. All these measures help minimise crosstalk and ensure signal purity. Additionally, the aluminium alloy body with a honeycomb structure helps to further reduce external interference, allowing you to enjoy clean and crisp music.
Multi-stage analogue power supply
A 40W low-noise, high-efficiency, and long-lasting industrial-grade power supply is built into the K19. The supply supports an ultra-wide input voltage range (85–305V AC) and can operate even in extreme temperatures (-40–85°C) with high reliability of up to 500000 hours. The K19 can also be used with an external DC power supply**, allowing you to pair it with a high-performance linear power supply to experience a different sound. The K19's analogue audio circuit is powered by a multi-stage power supply. With a large number of analogue power supply stages, there are circuits to manage power for the digital-to-analogue conversion, LPF, preamp, headphone amplifier, and other audio circuit stages. Each stage uses a large number of precision LDOs to stabilise the secondary voltage to ensure continuous clean power. Separate power supplies for the digital and analogue audio circuits effectively prevent crosstalk and interference between the two circuits. They also provide better power supply isolation.
** The external DC power supply supports 15V, 3A.
High-energy cooling performance
The K19's internal heat dissipation system consists of a thermally conductive material that is in contact with the internal chips, transferring heat from the chips to the thermally conductive material and finally to the external aluminium alloy frame. In addition, the thermally conductive aluminium alloy body has a honeycomb structure that enables convection heat dissipation. The K19's internal and external heat dissipation systems allow the machine to consistently deliver high performance without the user having to worry about heat issues.
Pure versatility
Use it vertically or horizontally – this helps save space and dissipate heat effectively. When used vertically, it can also serve as a unique headphone stand for even greater convenience. The 1.3-inch full-colour display makes it easy to monitor its current status and simplifies making changes. A custom infrared remote control is also included. The K19 allows you to conveniently switch between operating modes, select EQs, adjust the volume, and control other functions remotely. A 12V bi-directional trigger supports active/passive control modes and can be linked with another 12V TRIGGER for synchronised device power on and off. The GND/LIFT ground switch reduces crosstalk and interference between devices. It supports the FIIO Control app, allowing for convenient adjustment of various USB functions. Dual indicator lights on the volume knob support sample rate indication and various lighting effects***
*** Different lighting effects require a software update via the control app
* PEQ adjustment is supported on Windows and Mac computers, as well as via the mobile control app
