When the steering wheel is directly mounted on the motor shaft, there is no belt or gear drive to mitigate force feedback effects. Thanks to strong relationships with game developers, CSL DD has wide compatibility and consistent behavior across many popular games. The standard tuning menu has been simplified, allowing beginners to get started quickly without worrying about setup. The advanced tuning menu remains for enthusiasts. The CSL DD QR2 (8 Nm) package includes the Boost Kit 180, a powerful 180W power supply that allows the full power of the direct drive motor.

Main features
The device offers a user-friendly tuning menu for quick start-up as well as detailed adjustment of feedback characteristics according to personal preferences. The steering axis is made of carbon fibre reinforced composite material, which increases its strength and accuracy. The collection ring system provides long-term reliable wireless power and data transmission to the steering wheels. Installation on the sim rig is facilitated by a system of T-nut rails on the sides and bottom, or an optional table clamp can be used for tables with a thickness of 5-60 mm.
Efficient and responsive
The efficiency of CSL DD motor technology means that dynamic force feedback performance is contained in a small footprint. It is also the first industrial motor with a carbon fibre shaft, which significantly increases response and acceleration due to its low rotating mass.
Performance with Boost Kit 180
Thanks to the supplied Boost Kit 180, the CSL DD operates in 8 Nm mode. This provides much stronger feedback, so you can feel even subtle signals more clearly. This high level of torque can be maintained without the need for active cooling, with the extruded and CNC machined aluminum housing serving as both the support structure and heat sink.
QR2 quick release system
The carbon fibre reinforced polyamide construction allows fast and safe switching of the steering wheels, even during operation without having to restart the simulator or chassis. Attaching the steering wheel is as simple as possible - just attach it to the base and push it in, without the need to manipulate the quick-release mechanism.
Quick-release system
The new QR2 quick release provides reliable performance at the highest level. The clutch shape was developed for use in real motorsport and was originally used in the 2022 BMW M4 GT3 race car.

Platforms
PC: The CSL DD QR2 wheelbase is PC compatible in combination with the Fanatec steering wheel. Please refer to the individual product pages for wheel base compatibility.
Xbox: The CSL DD QR2 wheel is compatible with Xbox One® and Xbox Series X|S when used with any Fanatec licensed Xbox wheel.
PlayStation: The CSL DD QR2 chassis is not compatible with any PlayStation console and cannot be upgraded to achieve compatibility.
Safety notes
Not suitable for children. Fast steering wheel movements and strong torque can be dangerous. Please read the safety instructions. QR2 Lite Base-Side (Type-C) Adapter, which is included in the CSL DD QR2 package, is compatible with all versions of the QR2 Wheel-Side Adapter (Lite, Regular, Pro) and does not cause any torque limitation, even with the Boost Kit 180. To enable features in some games, like the LEDs on the steering wheel, it may be necessary to switch CSL DD to compatibility mode. It can also help with games that don't work in standard PC mode. Only the standard 90W power supply or the Boost Kit 180 can be used with this chassis. Use of any other power supply will void the chassis warranty, is potentially dangerous and can result in serious injury or death.
