With a Garmin smartwatch, you can safely venture off-grid up to 80 kilometres from the coast. The inReach technology lets you send messages and location information once you establish a satellite connection – without needing to connect your Garmin Fenix 8 Pro watch to your phone. With LTE connectivity, you can leave your phone at home during your activities and still receive/send messages or make calls. You can also share your LiveTrack™ location with your family or friends. If the watch detects an accident during selected activities, it will send a message with your current location via your paired smartphone. You can also trigger this function manually in an emergency.

The Garmin Fenix 8 Pro watch pairs easily with both Android and iOS phones. The built-in microphone and speaker make it easy to make Bluetooth calls from a paired mobile phone. If the watch is connected to an LTE network, you can also make calls without being connected to a smartphone. Of course, it also displays notifications from apps on your smartphone. You will also have a built-in music player with support for offline listening from Spotify or Deezer (a subscription may be required). Via Garmin Pay, you can add a digital copy of your regular payment card to the Fenix 8 Pro (if your card supports this feature) and use the watch for contactless payments.

For this purpose, the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro watch is equipped with an electromagnetic compass with automatic tilt correction, a barometric pressure sensor, an altimeter, and a depth gauge. You can plan routes directly on the watch or in the Garmin Connect mobile app. The satellite receiver with support for GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO satellite systems and a multi-channel Multiband GPS receiver ensures precise position calculation. The SatIQ technology provides optimal satellite reception settings, automatically switching between multiple satellite signal reception modes to optimise accuracy and save power.

The Garmin Fenix 8 Pro offers more accurate health monitoring for a healthier lifestyle
Garmin watches can continuously measure and record health and activity data, day and night. This primarily includes values for heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen level, breathing rate, daily step count, floors climbed, and minutes of intense activity. From the measured data, the watch derives other functions and metrics, such as Body Battery, Stress Score, HRV Status, and acclimatisation status for temperature and altitude. The health monitoring features also include functions for measuring sleep duration and quality. In addition to the duration and Sleep Score value, the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro watch also measures individual sleep stages and short naps, and provides recommendations for achieving better sleep and recovery.
From 1 July 2026, TOPO Czech V5 PRO vouchers will no longer be included with newly supplied (shipped) devices. This change is based on an internal decision by Garmin, which you can find here.
