Thanks to the integrated colour maps, you'll always have a perfect overview of your location and the surrounding terrain. The maps are intuitive, dynamic and clearly displayed on the bright AMOLED display, making it easy to orient yourself even while on the move. You can easily create or find routes in the Garmin Connect™ app, or download them from external platforms and use turn-by-turn navigation instructions directly on the watch display. There is also a dynamic round-trip routing calculation – just enter the desired distance and the watch will suggest a route that will bring you back to your starting point. If you deviate from the route, the Garmin Forerunner will automatically adjust it so the distance matches the original plan.

Call and answer even while running, without your phone in hand

After pairing with your phone, you can make and receive calls directly from the watch without having to reach for your mobile – ideal when running, cycling or whenever your hands are full. The built-in microphone and speaker ensure clear and intelligible voice transmission on both sides of the call. Thanks to support for voice assistants (e.g. Siri or Google Assistant), you can control the watch with voice commands, quickly set notifications, play music or find information. What's more, you can reply to text messages with your voice, check your calendar or set reminders for important tasks – simply and without touching the display. When you pair the Garmin Forerunner watch with an external HRM 600 sensor, you can measure your comprehensive running economy, which includes not only the total volume of your workouts, but also important parameters like stride length and speed loss when your foot hits the ground. This speed loss shows how much your body slows down on contact with the surface, which helps you optimise your running technique and increase your movement efficiency. At the same time, the running tolerance feature monitors the impact of running on your body and allows you to track the maximum recommended weekly distance. This enables you to plan your workouts to be effective, while also avoiding overload and the risk of injury.
