GIGABYTE B840M D2H uses the AMD B840 chipset and an AM5 socket, supporting AMD Ryzen™ 9000, 8000, and 7000 series processors. Its mATX (Micro ATX) form factor ensures compact dimensions suitable for smaller builds, while the board offers a 5+2+2 phase digital power solution for stable processor power delivery. Thanks to X3D Turbo Mode, you can activate optimisation parameters with a single click. For Ryzen™ 9000 X3D processors, this boosts gaming performance, and for Ryzen™ 9000 non-X3D models, it achieves a similar level of performance to their X3D counterparts—up to 18% depending on the game. The board features two DDR5 slots with dual-channel support and AMD EXPO™ profiles, allowing memory overclocking up to 7600MT/s.
There are two PCIe slots available – one PCIe 4.0 ×16 with PCIe EZ-Latch for easy, one-click graphics card release, and one PCIe 3.0 ×4. For storage, the board offers two M.2 slots (one PCIe 4.0 ×4 and one PCIe 3.0) and four SATA III ports, providing flexible options for both fast NVMe drives and conventional storage.
The rear I/O panel includes a 2.5Gb LAN port for high-speed network connection with minimal latency, an HDMI 2.1 output, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) ports, four USB 2.0 ports, and an 8-channel sound card with high-end audio capacitors and Audio Noise Guard technology for a clean audio output.
The board integrates UC BIOS with an intuitive interface, Q-Flash Auto Scan function for automatically finding the BIOS file on a USB drive, and an EZ Debug Zone with centralised LED indicators for quick diagnostics during PC assembly. The GIGABYTE Control Center software unifies control of RGB Fusion lighting, Smart Fan 6 for quiet and efficient cooling, and other tools. With technologies like D5 Bionic Corsa for AI overclocking and AI-Driven PCB Design for signal optimisation, the B840M D2H offers a modern platform focused on both performance and ease of use.
