Phytosterols are a group of plant sterols found in plant cells. They are structurally similar to cholesterol. The use of the positive properties of phytosterols leads to the production of functional products with phytosterols. These products are specifically designed for consumers who have elevated cholesterol levels. Vitasterol® S-80 WDP (95%) Non GMO is a white-yellowish powder with a slight characteristic aroma of vegetable oil. Vitasterol® S-80 Non GMO is a concentrated form of phytosterols (mainly Beta-sitosterol, Campesterol and Stigmasterol) from soybean oils. Vitasterol® S-80 Non GMO is widely used in food preparations or dietary supplements as a means to lower LDL cholesterol. All products made with Vitasterol ®S-80 Non GMO can be labeled as "plant sterols".
