Functional properties of peelable paint
Hell Red varies greatly depending on the substrate. If you want to achieve a bright, vibrant red, we recommend using a white base (Racer Dip Alpine White). If you prefer a darker, deeper shade of red, apply the colour directly onto a dark base or a black base.
Racer Dip Hell Red for comprehensive protection:
Aggressive, sporty look: a rich red pigment that won't fade.
Mechanical barrier: effectively absorbs the impact of flying stones and protects the original paintwork.
Chemical resistance: It is resistant to road salt, tarmac and the chemicals used in car washes.
Temperature stability: withstands temperatures ranging from -35 °C to +94 °C.
Technological process:
Thanks to its unique formulation, this peelable paint has excellent self-levelling properties. For best results, we recommend the following procedure:
1. Surface decontamination: The surface must be thoroughly cleaned of grease and dirt. The manufacturer recommends using isopropyl alcohol, which ensures maximum adhesion of the paint to the substrate.
2. Preparing the substrate: Choose a white base for a bright effect or black for a darker effect.
3. Layering: Apply 4 to 6 coats of Hell Red. The first layer acts as a base coat; the subsequent layers build up the colour intensity and provide the necessary thickness for easy peeling.
4. Curing: Full mechanical strength is achieved after 24 hours.
Recommendations and maintenance:
Racer Dip Hell Red contains advanced UV stabilisers that protect the pigment from degradation. Unlike standard sprays, peelable paint retains its vibrancy even after prolonged exposure to the sun. For best results, we recommend using isopropyl alcohol, which prepares the surface perfectly, evaporates completely and leaves no residue that could affect the adhesion of the peelable paint. Hell Red is extremely hard-wearing; you can wash the car with a pressure washer (keeping a distance of 30 cm) or in an automatic car wash. To maintain colour vibrancy, it is recommended that you use pH-neutral car care products.
Removing paint:
Lift the paint at the edge (e.g. (using your fingernail or a plastic spatula) and peel off the entire layer like a sticker. The paintwork underneath will remain clean and undamaged.
Recommended number of sprays for wheels up to size R17:
For wheels up to size R17, 3 to 4 sprays are recommended. If you opt for a white base coat, allow for 1–2 sprays of Alpine White and 3 sprays of Hell Red.
