Remmers Insulating Primer PLUS 2.5L

Remmers Izolační základ PLUS is a universal primer and intermediate coat for interior and exterior use. It adheres to various substrates, including metals, hard plastics, wood, and old paintwork. This water-based primer provides metal surfaces with anti-corrosion protection and prevents tannins from bleeding through wooden structures, which could discolour the final coat. Thanks to its low solvent content, the paint has only a mild odour.

Excellent adhesion to various materials

Remmers paint adheres extremely well to substrates. You can use it on metal materials such as galvanised steel, aluminium, copper, or brass. It sticks to hard plastics, including PVC, PUR, polyester, acrylic, or melamine resins (HPL/CPL). The paint is also suitable for well-preserved old coats based on alkyd and acrylic resins or for powder and PUR lacquers.

Wood and metal protection in one step

The insulating primer performs two protective functions. For metal substrates, it provides anti-corrosion protection, preventing rust formation. For wooden structures, such as windows, doors, shutters, cladding, or fences, it prevents tannins from bleeding through the wood. This stops unwanted discolouration of light-coloured topcoats.

Features for easy application

The paint is water-based, which means it has a low solvent content and only a mild odour during application. Its formulation is weather-resistant and also helps to regulate moisture in the substrate, contributing to the long life of the entire coating system. Application is simple as the paint is not diluted and is ready for immediate use. After drying, it leaves a matt finish on the surface.
