Moving mechanism and power supply
The main feature of the clock is a moving mechanism with gears that constantly rotate. The clock movement and the decorative mechanism have separate battery power supplies. One AA battery powers the clock hands, while two AA batteries drive the rotating gears. This lets you run just the clock hands, or turn on the decorative gears as well.
The clock requires a total of three AA batteries, which are not included.
