Performance built on an unlocked Intel Core Ultra 7 processor

The Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor brings a hybrid architecture to the HP Z2 G1i with 8 performance cores and 12 efficient cores. That's a total of 20 cores and 20 threads with a frequency boosted by Intel Turbo Boost technology up to 5.5GHz. A 30MB L3 cache accelerates access to frequently used data during demanding calculations. The NVIDIA RTX A1000 graphics card is built on the Ampere architecture with 2304 CUDA cores, 72 Tensor cores, and 18 second-generation RT cores. It is optimised for stability and certified compatibility with professional software. The integrated Intel AI Boost NPU, with 13 TOPS of performance, accelerates local inference and the development of AI models directly on the device. Smooth system operation is handled by 32GB of DDR5 RAM, while the 1TB PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD ensures fast access to large project files.

Cooling and expandability for demanding workflows

The HP Z2 G1i supports up to a 600W discrete graphics card with a three-monitor setup, making it ready for future upgrades to a more powerful card. The RTX A1000 card is certified for professional applications like AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, and Siemens NX, so it handles both design and visualisation without compromising on stability. Intelligent fan control adjusts speeds in real time, and the new mesh ventilation optimises airflow inside the case. Ample internal space and tool-free access let you easily add more memory, storage, or specialised PCIe cards. The station also fits into a single 4U rack unit, making it suitable for deployment in server rooms or specialised workplaces.

Hewlett-Packard was founded in the difficult times of the Great Depression. The founders were a pair of friends whose name the company still proudly bears. They started their business in an unobtrusive garage near the city of Palo Alto. It is now a national monument. HP’s success lay not in copying existing products, but in the ability and courage to come up with something new.

The first commercial triumph was an oscillator that surpassed all competition in quality, yet sold at a quarter of the price. In 1968, HP released their first desktop computer - a desktop calculator. The company currently manufactures products primarily related to computer technology - computers and laptops, printers, scanners, digital cameras, servers, and last but not least, calculators.

Datová suverenita a bezpečnost: proč citlivá data nepatří do veřejného cloudu

Validated AI: Pre-tested AI systems for real-world operation

Two AI systems with the same accelerator class can perform very differently in real-world operations. A pre-tested configuration helps verify compatibility, actual performance, and the limits of a specific workload before purchase, thereby reducing the risk of costly troubleshooting after the hardware is delivered.

The Lifecycle of AI Hardware: How to Make a Purchase That Won't Become Obsolete

AI hardware pays off based on factors other than its technical lifespan—the decisive factor is the point at which its operation becomes less cost-effective than the available alternative. The article offers advice on how to assess a system’s economic lifespan, what to focus on when comparing new-generation accelerators, which parts of the infrastructure (not just GPUs) typically reach their limits first, and how to factor in purchasing, leasing, and phased upgrades into the decision-making process. It also includes tips on how to continue making meaningful use of older hardware after it has been taken out of primary production.
