With a grip force resolution of 0.50 N, you can accurately dispense pressure on contact with an object, and with a repeatability of ±0.20 mm, it is also suitable for scenarios where precise repetition of finger trajectory is required.
The Dex 5 hand allows precise grip dosing thanks to a 0.50 N resolution. In practice, this means better control when working with smaller parts, plastics, cables or components where you need to "push just right" - without unnecessary slippage and without damaging the object.
With a repeatability of ±0.20 mm, the Dex 5 is suitable for tasks that require stable results: Repeated grasping at nearly identical points, manipulation in jigs, demonstrations for learning robotic skills or testing grip control algorithms.
The thumb has a lateral rotation of more than 65°, so the hand can better change the grip type according to the shape of the object - from a precise "pinch" grip to a more secure grip. To this he adds brisk movements: Lateral thumb movement of 235°/s and flexion of 150°/s, which helps with quick corrections during manipulation.
