The Inter-Tech IPC 2U-2129N computer case is a 2U server solution for mounting in rack cabinets. The chassis offers flexible component installation and supports a wide range of motherboards, from mITX up to the larger SSI-EEB formats. The solid steel casing reliably protects the sensitive internal equipment from mechanical damage and maintains the long-term stability of the entire system. The design serves as a robust base for building a server, with an emphasis on power supply versatility and sufficient disk array capacity.
The chassis is based on durable 1.0mm to 1.2mm thick steel, giving the case the necessary rigidity. A depth of 680mm provides plenty of space for powerful server components and cabling. The internal layout uses removable hard drive cages, which makes handling much easier when installing or replacing data storage. The well-thought-out internal structure simplifies cable management and contributes to better airflow inside the case. In addition, the external 5.25" bays have a simple mounting system for quick drive installation.
The cooling system relies on a set of four 80mm fans fitted in series inside the case between the drive bays and the motherboard. These fans efficiently dissipate heat from the hard drives towards the processor and expansion cards. A unique feature is the choice of power supply. You can install either a standard ATX power supply in the front with an 80mm fan, or a 1U or 2U server power supply at the rear of the chassis. Four powerful fans maintain optimal temperatures even under high server load, while perforated slot covers further aid passive ventilation.
The internal space accommodates up to seven 3.5" hard drives and four 2.5" SSDs, meeting the demands for high-capacity storage. The case accepts graphics cards up to 350mm in length and CPU coolers with a maximum height of 65mm, which corresponds to 2U format standards. The front panel includes two USB 3.0 ports for quick connection of external peripherals and control elements, including LED indicators for network and disk activity. The generous capacity of the disk arrays meets the demanding data storage requirements of an enterprise environment.
