The Inter-Tech IPC 3U-30240 computer case is the fundamental building block for a server system installed in 3U rack cabinets. This hardware platform offers extensive internal configuration options, meeting the demands for high-capacity data storage with a large number of hard drives. The robust steel construction protects the installed components in demanding operating environments and supports ATX, mATX, or Mini ITX motherboards with a maximum depth of 191mm. A modular cage system lets you adapt the interior to your current needs, whether you're fitting multiple 3.5" drives or external 5.25" drives. Pre-installed cooling and easily accessible front-panel connectors complete the functional features of this server solution.
The chassis is based on 1.0 to 1.2mm thick steel sheeting, which ensures high stability and component protection in a demanding server environment. The interior space excels in flexibility, as both hard drive cages can be removed or repositioned. This versatility enables the installation of up to six external 5.25" drives or a combination of twelve internal 3.5" and fourteen 2.5" drives, depending on the chosen configuration.
The cooling system uses a pre-installed 120mm fan at the front and a pair of 60mm fans at the rear to exhaust hot air. The case supports Mini ITX, mATX, and ATX motherboards, with a maximum motherboard mounting depth of 191mm. The installed fans create a smooth airflow that maintains optimal operating temperatures for the hard drives and other key components.
The front panel includes two USB 3.0 ports, which make it easy to quickly connect external devices or service drives. The top cover uses latches, so staff can access the hardware simply by opening the cover. Standard slots are available for expansion cards, and there's an option to install a Riser card, which increases the potential uses of this rack solution.
