- Battery status indication
- Built-in long-lasting batteries
- USB-C charging
- Audible indication of exceeding the adjustable level
- Robust construction
Restrictions on applicability
The Goco detector is designed to detect the presence of CO in the air. It is not suitable for placement in the flue gas or for analysis in a gas mixture. If there are certain interfering gases in the air, the signal may be distorted. There is a known cross-sensitivity to hydrogen and acetyl, and the sensor is also less affected by nitrogen oxides and ethanol. Interfering gases have an additive effect on the sensor. The device is not intended for use in areas designated as ZONE 0, ZONE 1 OR ZONE 2, furthermore, it must not be used in places with high humidity and must avoid the penetration of water droplets or other chemicals. The instrument is designed for normal non-aggressive environments.

Inspection and calibration of the detector
Depending on the frequency of use, it is recommended to check the Goco detector once every 6 months for very frequent or continuous use, and up to once a year for less frequent use, using a calibration gas mixture. The detector with charged batteries is switched on at least 15 minutes before the check. A calibration gas with a concentration between 100 and 200 ppm CO in air is supplied to the sensor. The instrument shall show the corresponding concentration with a tolerance of ±20 ppm. Test sticks can be used for an indicative functional test to see if the instrument responds to gas. After lighting the stick, the flame is extinguished and the stick is allowed to smoulder. In the rising smoke, hold the detector for about 10 to 20 seconds so that the smoke rises into the part with the sensor cover grid. The detector must react to the presence of CO in the smoke of imperfect combustion. After the test, the test stick must be thoroughly extinguished and the detector left to air out for at least 15 minutes. It is not advisable to leave the detector in smoke for long periods of time.
