Jack Daniel's No.7 1l 40%
Tennessee whiskey is an icon. Jack Daniel's is Tennessee whiskey. Thanks to its specific production process, this dark golden delight has a characteristically smooth taste and an unmistakable aroma.
The production process
So what does this production process involve? Before being sealed in a barrel, Jack Daniel's is filtered by slowly dripping it through a 3-metre-thick layer of charcoal made from sugar maple. This method has been used at the Jack Daniel’s Distillery since it was founded in the mid-19th century. Why change something that works so exceptionally well?
A giant among giants
Jack Daniel's Old No.7 is a legend enjoyed by greats such as Frank Sinatra. Legend has it that a bottle of Jack accompanied him to his coffin, along with a box of good cigarettes and some change for the phone to call his friends. But you should probably enjoy your Jack with friends on this side of the veil. Who knows what the ice situation is like on the other side.
Taste and aroma
On the nose, you'll find oak wood, sweet sugar syrup, and dessert vanilla. In the mouth, this delicacy strikes a perfect balance between woody notes and the sweet tones of chocolate, toasted bread, and cinnamon. The finish adds a smoky aroma from the maple charcoal. It's simply superb on its own, but also serves as an excellent base for mixed drinks. Jack and coke is a classic that never disappoints. You can also try lesser-known delights like a Lynchburg Lemonade or a Whiskey Sour. Cheers!
