The Korg E1 Air is a digital piano with an 88-key RH3 Real Weighted Hammer Action 3 keyboard, which uses a graded hammer action with a heavier feel in the bass and a lighter feel in the upper register. It offers 30 sounds, a maximum polyphony of 120 voices, three studio effects and a pair of sampled Italian concert grand pianos. The sound system consists of two 12cm speakers with 2×40W of power and an internal EvoTone power system. The features are rounded out by Bluetooth Audio, USB MIDI/Audio, a two-track recorder, a trio of pedals and Split, Layer and Partner modes.

Keyboard, sounds and playing options
The RH3 keyboard with a range of A0–C8 uses a graded hammer action and offers five velocity curves to adjust the touch response. The Stereo PCM system provides 30 sounds divided into ten groups across three banks, with a maximum polyphony of 120 voices depending on the selected sound. The sound selection is enhanced by Brilliance, Reverb and Chorus effects, each with three setting levels. Damper resonance and key-off simulation support a more natural character for selected piano sounds. The Split, Layer and Partner modes let you divide the keyboard, layer two sounds or create two identical playing zones.
Recording, connectivity and sound
The two-track recorder can capture up to 14000 notes and store up to 99 user songs. For practising, there is a metronome, 10 sound demo songs, and 40 piano songs with features for independent hand playback, tempo adjustment, and A–B repeat. Bluetooth with A2DP Sink profile enables wireless audio playback, and the USB Type-B serves for both MIDI and audio connection to a computer or mobile device. The sound system uses two 12cm speakers and a 2×40W amplifier. The connectivity includes LINE IN, LINE OUT, two headphone outputs, a pedal connector, and a speaker connector.
