New design and compatibility

KORG presents a rack-mounted version of this tool - the opsix module. This model supports the MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange standard and polyphonic aftertouch, making it the ideal complement to the KORG Keystage MIDI 2.0 keyboard. It is also fully compatible with the sounds of the original opsix, opsix mkII, opsix SE, but also with opsix native software and a range of third-party libraries, ensuring that the instrument can always be extended with new sounds. In addition to pitch bend and modulation wheels, this rack-mount format with 4 treble units offers the same controls and buttons as the keyboard version, but is much more portable, saving space and fitting into any professional or home studio.

Standard MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange

Thanks to recent software updates, all versions of opsix, hardware or software, support the MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange standard. Hundreds of original factory sounds have been redesigned to include modulation via polyphonic aftertouch, with channel aftertouch also supported. This makes this module ideal for use with compatible keyboards.

Rack mount or desktop use

The opsix module is cleverly designed and can be used in a studio desk or 19" rack. The control panel has been redesigned to fit into a standard 19" rack, and the rear connections have been positioned so that cables are still easily accessible even when another rack is mounted directly above it. When used on a table, you can choose two different adjustment angles: flat for standing or angled for comfortable seated work.
