Lagos belongs to a class of drugs called hepatoprotective agents, or drugs with a protective effect on liver cells, which are used to treat liver disease. Lagosa is a herbal medicine containing dry extract of the fruit of milk thistle. This extract contains the substance silymarin, which has shown beneficial therapeutic effects in various liver cell injuries. Silymarin strengthens the cell membrane structure of liver cells, so that the toxic substance cannot penetrate into the cell, and enhances the regeneration ability of the liver. The preparation is used for supportive and complementary treatment of toxic-metabolic liver damage such as liver steatosis (fat accumulation in the liver), liver damage caused by alcohol, poisonous substances, drugs, mushroom poisoning, etc. It is also used for supportive treatment in chronic inflammatory liver diseases and cirrhosis (a serious liver disease characterised by a multiplication of connective tissue and nodular remodelling of liver tissue). Lagosa contains lactose monohydrate and sucrose. Gluten free. The package contains 50 coated tablets. Lagosa are white, round, biconvex coated tablets with a smooth, matte surface.
Dosage and method of use
Adults usually take 1 tablet 2 (or up to 3) times a day after meals at the start of treatment. The interval between doses should be at least 4 hours. Treatment with the initial dose lasts for 1-6 weeks, after improvement of the condition, the daily dose can be reduced to 1 tablet once a day. Take the tablets after meals, swallow them whole, unchewed, with a little liquid.
Contraindications
Always take this medicine exactly as directed in the package insert or by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking Lagosa. Do not take Lagosa if you are allergic to dry milk thistle fruit extract or to any of the other ingredients in this product. The product is not intended for children under 18 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, before taking this medicine.

Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25 °C. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and blister forEXP.
Shelf life:
It refers to the last day of that month. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
