Laminating Films

Laminating films are designed for laminating documents, printed sheets, creating teaching aids, and much more. They vary in size and thickness. The laminating film thickness is usually listed in microns (100 µ is 0.1 mm). They are available in A4, A3, or smaller A5 and A6 sizes.

Laminating Film Thickness

If you want to have laminated sheets or cards, it is better to choose a thicker film (at least about 90 - 125 µ). A film of around 80 µ will do if you simply want your documents or teaching aids to last longer.

  • Film thickness 80 µ and less - very thin and weak film suitable for laminating documents that don't get exposed to bad weather (info boards etc.). Relatively cheap.
  • Film thickness over 100 µ - suitable for laminating information cards, ID cards or teaching materials. These thick films are tougher, don't peel off, and can withstand plenty of wear and tear.
