Leros Senna leaf 40 g
LEROS Senna - leaf 40 g syp.
A herbal medicine intended for the short-term treatment of functional constipation. The package contains 40 g. Do not take if hypersensitive to senna leaf. In addition, do not use in case of intestinal obstruction, intestinal weakness or narrowing, sudden abdominal episodes, inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g. Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis - inflammation of the colon accompanied by the formation of ulcers), with abdominal pain of unknown origin, loss of fluid and electrolytes. Do not give to children under 12 years of age.
Dosage and method of use
Pour 1/4 l of boiling water over 1 sachet and remove after 5-10 minutes of infusion. The infusion is drunk once a day warm, always freshly prepared, preferably at night. The effect occurs after 8-12 hours. Consult a physician when taking the product for more than 1-2 weeks.
Contraindications
Minimal if the prescribed dosage and method of use are followed. May cause skin reactions (itching, urticaria, redness of the skin) in sensitive persons. Sennosides can cause mild crampy abdominal pain and watery stools, especially in patients with irritable bowel. These symptoms are also manifested in overdose. In these cases, it is necessary to reduce the dose. With long-term use, the balance of water and electrolytes, especially potassium, may be disturbed. Also, albumin and blood in the urine may appear. In addition, discolouration of the urine (yellow or reddish-brown discolouration, pH-dependent) and pigmentation (discolouration) of the intestinal mucosa (pseudomelanosis coli) may occur, which usually resolves after discontinuation. If any unusual reactions occur, the administration of the product should be stopped and a doctor should be consulted.

Intestinal obstruction, bowel weakness, sudden abdominal episodes, inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g. Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis - inflammation of the large intestine accompanied by the formation of ulcers), abdominal pain of unknown origin, fluid and electrolyte losses. Children under 12 years of age, pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Storage
Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store in a dry place at a temperature of up to 25 °C, in the original packaging to protect the product from light. Return the unusable medicine to the pharmacy. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging. From www.gigalekarna.cz
