Effective Formula for Maximum Protection
The concentration of the active ingredient DEET determines the duration of the repellent's protective effect. This version, with a 50% DEET content, is effective against Culex, Anopheles (malaria vector), and Aedes (yellow fever vector) mosquito species. It also works against Ixodes ticks, which can cause Lyme disease or tick-borne encephalitis. In addition, the product contains the bitter substance Bitrex, which reduces the likelihood of accidentally swallowing the repellent.
