The new Down Wash Direct is the first product specially designed to clean and maintain natural and hydrophobic down. It provides an easy solution for caring for clothing and sleeping bags filled with natural and treated down. Down Wash Direct guarantees excellent cleaning performance, maintains or increases the water repellency of all types of hydrophobic down and the outer surface of the fabric on down-filled clothing and sleeping bags, and improves the water repellency of natural down, which absorbs 40× less water.

Instructions for use:
To clean tough stains, use undiluted Down Wash Direct with a sponge or soft nylon brush. Remove any parts that are not suitable for washing. Shake well before use. Follow the care label instructions.
Washing machine application: 1. Remove all detergent residue from the detergent dispenser. 2. Place a maximum of 2 items of clothing in the washing machine. 3. Use 100ml of the product (2 full caps). Rinse the cap after use. 4. Wash according to the instructions on the garment, preferably at a low temperature and on a low spin cycle.
Hand application (use gloves): 1. In a suitable container, add 100ml of Down Wash Direct to 12–15 litres of lukewarm water. 2. Submerge the item and agitate thoroughly to mix the solution and ensure the item is fully saturated. 3. Leave the item fully submerged for 5–10 minutes, then agitate thoroughly again. 4. Rinse thoroughly in clean water until the water runs clear.
Drying: Tumble dry on a low temperature if the care label allows, until all the down clumps have disappeared. If not tumble drying, it is a good idea to shake the clothing or sleeping bag vigorously at regular intervals. Shake and repeatedly break up any clumped down to facilitate the drying process and restore the original loft and fluffiness.
