Carcass: Heartwork Clr Ltd
LP Record Heartwork is the fourth studio album by the English extreme metal band Carcass. It was released on 12 October 1993 by Earache Records and was the band's last album before their first split in 1995. The album was produced by Colin Richardson and its artwork was created by Jeff Walker and Glen Benton. On Heartwork, the band moved away from the grindcore sound of their earlier work, incorporating more melodic death metal elements, with some critics describing the album as progressive metal. The album has been cited as a major influence on the death metal genre. Heartwork was positively received by music critics, with many praising the album's more melodic approach. It was nominated for a Kerrang! Award in 1994.
