The fate of the inhabitants on the Czech-German border was mercilessly affected by the "great" history of the 20th century, first by the two world wars, then by the expulsion of the German inhabitants, the impermeable closure of the border and the creation of the Dobrá voda military training area, to which the forcibly displaced villages and settlements had to give way.
